The Origin Story

For more than 25 years, we’ve worked at the crossroads of business, strategy consulting, and international development, collaborating with global companies, UN agencies, foundations, and NGOs.

Over time, even with success and the privilege of working on some of the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges, we found ourselves at a turning point. We wanted deeper purpose, more flexibility, and work that changed lives — including our own.

At first, we searched for answers in familiar ways. We asked what’s next, read every book, and tried to craft the perfect plan. But clarity didn’t come from thinking harder. It came from doing. From asking braver questions, challenging assumptions and experimenting with new ways of working and living.

Our shift from corporate life to a portfolio life of impact changed everything. It reshaped how we work, what we value and what success really means. When we reconnected after decades of friendship and collaboration, everything came alive again - shared purpose, creativity and the belief that meaningful work can also be sustainable work.

Today, through the Meaningful Work Collective, we’re building a community of experienced professionals who are reimagining success on their own terms.
